Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy or hire temporary fencing?

Both. You can buy temporary fencing panels and crowd control barriers online with delivery across New Zealand, or call in to one of our trade stores. Panels and barriers are also available to hire from our Timaru and Christchurch branches, with no minimum hire period. Call us on 0508 88 5656 for hire rates and availability.

What size are your temporary fencing panels?

Our perimeter fence panels are 2100mm high and 2200mm long. They use 4mm mesh and 2mm thick tube, and they are flat and stackable for transport.

How many panels do I need?

Each panel covers 2.2 metres, so divide the length you need to fence by 2.2. For example, a 22 metre boundary needs 10 panels.

What else do I need to set up the fence?

Panels are sold on their own, so you'll also need feet and clamps. Each panel needs two feet, and one panel clamp holds two panels together. Use a hinge clamp at corners, or to make a gate for vehicle or pedestrian access. We stock heavy duty steel feet, panel clamps, hinge clamps and panel braces.

Do you have barriers for events and crowd control?

Yes. We stock hi-vis orange traffic and crowd control barriers, which are a cost effective way to manage crowds at events. They are 1090mm high with vertical bars spaced 100mm apart, and are also used for civil and roading work. Our 2100mm high perimeter fence panels can be used for crowd control too.

Do you deliver temporary fencing?

Yes. We ship nationwide and shipping is calculated at checkout. We partner with freight companies to get you the best shipping price, and panels can also be collected free of charge from your local branch. Online orders over $1,500 qualify for free shipping nationwide. The exception is rural addresses, where orders are sent to your nearest freight depot for collection.
